This is a hydroperiod map for Big Cypress Nat’l Preserve. Tan represents dry land and blue water. The darker the blue the deeper the water. The Big Cypress Swamp slowly fills up with “ankle to knee” deep water during the summer, and then recedes back to dry ground during our dry season winter half.
