April showers bring relief

Surprise dry season rains continue in April

April showers are the story of the week.

After missing much on many of the fronts that passed through in February and March, Southwest Florida has played some catch up ball in the first 2 days of April.

But don’t confuse these rains with fronts.

These cloud formations were more in the spirit of the classic afternoon showers, and moving backwards: rising out of the east in the Everglades and then moving west.

In any event, the above bar chart shows updated numbers on the winter’s surprisingly wet turn since mid February.
