We all drive over bridges every day, some big and many small.
Here’s one such bridge — called the covered bridge at Jerusalem Mill — perched up on the Piedmont Plateau in the state that natives proudly refer to as “America in Miniature” … that historians know as “The Old Line State” … and which I affectionately call “The Mudderland” — Maryland.
Traffic on the bridge comes and goes,
but the water underneath never stops flowing.
Jerusalem Mill is part of Gunpowder State Park and is run by the Maryland Park Service.
