As flat as the swamp may seem,
Out of nowhere a deep crevasse can suddenly pop up.

These shallow dips in the bedrock are even too deep for cypress.
But at their edge is where the tallest cypress trees grow, too.
That gives these 3 feet deep holes the unmistakable look of a canyon.
