And yes, at 90 ft deep at its center, that makes it 6 times deeper than anywhere in Lake Okeechobee’s 730 square mile expanse. (Lake Okeechobee maxes out at around 15 ft deep).
From the aerial, you can see that Deep Lake is just a few hundred feet across from bank to bank.
That’s why they didn’t call it Wide Lake.
