We may have missed our dry season,
But nobody can say we didn’t have a winter.

But the dry season isn’t just winter …
It’s fall and spring too.
Fall brings the dry season’s first freeze
(After a long summer, whew do they feel good!)
With winter comes the deep freezes.
(Bring out the fleeces!)
Come spring the Florida sun re-ignites on the scene:
No rain plus a “hotter, and higher, and longer-shining” sun
can dry down and dry out the swamps in a hurry …
Otherwise known as wildfire season.
