Meanwhile south Florida waits.

| This graph shows the daily high and low air temperature bands for Naples Florida and Boston Massachusetts. Labor Day marks the start of fall up north whereas in south Florida we usually have to wait until Halloween. Just like our northern friends have to endure the spring blues (i.e. will winter ever end?) south Florida’s each September and October have to fight through the dreaded fall funk (i.e. will hot and humid summer ever end?) |
But it won’t be long:
(1) Usually our first cold front (i.e. dropping the night time low temperature to below 60° F) occurs sometime in October.
(2) Long-term average night time lows drop below 60° F by Thanksgiving.
