Fishing has much improved in the last year as result of a lake restoration effort. Dredges were put to task to remove decades of muck that had accumulated on the lake bottom (average depth 7 ft) which, through algae blooms, was depleting oxygen from the water column, and leading to fish kills. With the muck removed, the oxygen is back, along with the fish.
So to answer your question: a lot better!
