One of the most beautiful aquatic plants, Nymphaea odorata grows in the deep water sloughs of Everglades National Park. The floating leaves, also known as lily pads, provide both shelter and food (note holes) for aquatic wildlife. An apple snail shell floats to the left of the flower.
