Juvenile Eastern Lubber Grasshopper April 2013 |
Five or so minutes later, this one hopped off. Fast forward a few months and this guy will be yellow and big and sort of scary, too. Baby wildlife have a reputation of being “so cute” you want to take them home, even though we know we shouldn’t. You would’t want to do that with a lubber because they could eat all your plants. But are these menacing-looking adult lubbers still be safe to pick up?
