High water hiding in plain site

Can high and low water co-exist in a single time and place?

Usually they are opposites occurring about 180 days apart.

Well here’s photographic proof:

Low water is the stagnant pool on the right.  Then clearly visible, but also camouflaged, on the left is the annual high-water mark two feet up the base of the fluted cypress tree trunk.

Still not sure if I’d be willing to take this photo during true high water.
