Is it possible you're mistaking the Loxahatchee for the Hillsboro Canal? The Hillsboro Canal is on Loxahatchee Road (Lox Road). S-10 controls flow to the Hillboro Canal, the Loxahatchee River is too far north and east to enter this picture.
