It is a toasty 1˚ outside this morning as I write this, temperatures have risen a bit overnight. Sadly for our ice fishers out there, we had several inches of snow right when the ice was forming on area lakes, so now the snow is insulating the ice making for poor ice conditions this year. We need some nights in the -10s and -20s to get a good thick layer of ice to form.
