Now or never!

As you can see from the hydrograph below,

Water stage in the swamp should be peaking.

The hydrograph above displays displays the water stage over the past two years (i.e. dark blue line) in Big Cypress Nat’l Preserve relative to the 25-year historic record and select ecological thresholds.  The dotted white line is the long-term median level.  As you can see, we’ve been tracking below that level for the past month.

Not that it’s terribly low.

We just haven’t risen into the peaks of recent years.

But it’s not too late: One Big Rain Day is all it takes this time of year.
