Pineland clustervine

This member of the morning glory family is endemic to south Florida pine rocklands. Jacquemontia curtisii is named to commemorate Allen Hiram Curtiss (1845-1907), perhaps the first professional botanist to reside in Florida, and contemporary botanists argue whether the scientific name should have one “s”or two. In any case, it has a lovely white flower about an inch across.
