Not only will Friday be the shortest day of the year,

When it’s all said it done,
Naples will have tallied 6 days so far this winter in which daytime highs didn’t rise above 70° F. That’s not cold by northern continental standards, but down here on the south peninsula they are the days we don’t leave home without our winter fleeces, i.e. probably a fall windbreaker up north.
Last winter we only had 8 such days total
The long-term average is eighteen.
