Restoration of Lake Trafford

How much muck was sucked out from the bottom of Lake Trafford?

Answer: 6 million cubic yards at last count.

That’s the same volume as about 50 Fenway Park equivalents, as filled up inside the area of fair play to the top of the Green Monster, or alternatively, if you are a fan of the Big Apple – about 1.5 Empire State Building sized glasses (i.e., a two acre base filled 1,250 feet high) instead.

In Florida measuring units that’s 1,800 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Or in other words, a lot of muck.
