The dry season numbers are in …
Even though the drought isn’t over yet.

This year’s dry season qualified as “dry” (pink) by historic standards, whereas last year’s was “wet” (aqua) |
The reason?
May is a shoulder season month. It’s first half is usually reliably dry, followed by a second half of increasing rains. For that reason, dry season rainfall tally runs for the 6-month span from November 1st to April 30th of each year.
Any precipitation from this point forward counts as “wet season” rain.
