Relatively speaking, the water level in Lake Okeechobee isn’t low (for April).

Yes, after its big bounty of summer rains, stage in Lake Okeechobee has dropped 3 feet since October, currently placing the Lake surface at just under 14 feet above sea level.
BTW: that matches the Lake’s long-term normal (i.e. based on the 25 yr record) for early April.

Next steps:
Figuring out ways to help the Big Cypress Swamp to similarly hold onto its summer bounty of rain.
