(1) Dani: I noticed that rainfall numbers have been “down” in the north part of the state since September began. And yes, the rain barrels don’t lie!

(2) Cedrorum: Averages can be a great guide, but when we find ourselves consistently comparing against the average, as if, like you say, its “normal”, we are probably missing the larger picture, and often making a comparison to a number that doesn’t exist.

(3) Salty: Thanks for the update on the PA deer herd. There’s a common saying down here that you know the chosen path is right if everyone is a little unhappy. But the back story is that it sounds like everyone found some common ground too.
