(1) You make a very interesting point about the difference between “locally-observed” and “basin-wide” rainfall. The “basin-wide” number tends to even out the valleys and peaks, but it’s not always what you see out the window.

(2) Our Upper Kissimmee was the driest of SFL’s basins for the month of September … so it could be a reflection of the lack of rain farther north in the state. It will be fun to look at what total percentage of the “wet season” rain tally that Fay accounts for when its all said and done.

(3) The Everglades is a one of the kind: part land part water, part river part pond. We’re still trying to figure it out, and it continually amazes. It’s a great place to track the water cycle.
