These posts are bringing back so many good memories. Mr. Hughes took groups of students (my daugher included) canoeing on Deer Creek and all the Chesapeake Bay tributaries. I wonder if he still does that.

My best memory of the beauty of Gunpowder/Susquehanna are picnics we had there. Kentucky Fried Chicken… We rescued our friend’s dog from a whirlpool once. Those were the days.
