Henderson Creek was southwest Florida’s Rip Van Winkle of the water cycle:
It fell asleep for for the better part of 2 wet seasons, starting in 2006.
But Henderson Creek woke up in a major way this year, 3 times:
First was the storm that would later become Christobol, then came Fay, and currently, as I type, it is still flowing from Ike. Flows generated from Ike — shown in the video clip above — were the smallest of the three.
