Florida is America’s winter vegetable garden.
Among it’s more prodigious crops:
That changes come summer time.
That’s when the continent reclaims its tomato growing crown.
Quite literally they grow from the cracks of the sidewalk.
(I wonder what store owner has laid claim to this one?)
Which state grows the best summer tomato?
– Maryland (as photographed in downtown Havre De Grace above) and New Jersey come to mind.
But come winter south Florida is the clear choice …
