Warm gulf and cold rain

Here’s a common summer sight at the beach:

Brilliant sun in one direction and a blackened out sky in the other.

On many occasions the “landward-blowing” sea breeze keeps the clouds at bay. But I’ve been on the other side of the spectrum, too:

Stuck in the warm gulf with cool drops pinging off the top of my head.
