Yes, an amaryllis…a member of the lily family. Mine bloom inside the house up here in February (which is the time I have trained them to bloom). I leave them outside during the summer and then in fall bring them inside, let the bulbs go dormant, and they are rested to be awakened and bloom again right after Christmas. Not much of an odor, but splendid form.
